Just Say Sorry Mr Blair! Please click here: http://www.number-10.gov.uk/output/Page848.asp to send a message to Tony Blair asking him to appologise for Iraq. Would you please vote in the poll to say you have or haven't sent a message? Thanks!! Clairexxxx
Unfortunately I really don't want the 10 Downing Street war machine to pick up my IP address or know who I am. Call me paranoid but internet privacy isn't exactly guaranteed at the moment. I'll do it the next time I'm at a public access computer.
He won't apologise. He should, even if he doesn't mean it, but he won't. Amazing that a man with no discernable principles can be so bloody-minded.
i did it.. dont care if they trace me.. i'll just pull a moony at evry van i see with blacked out windows from now on. after writing what i did i dont see how he can't apologise now... if he doesn't im gonna walk righ up to 10 downing street.. pull him out on to the street, pull his pants down and spank his arse in front of every one watchin' till he cries.that'll make him apologise... little git. thats's all folks andy xxx
You think they're going to hunt down everyone who sends an e-mail to Blair? Maybe if they sent something like FUCK U BLAIR U POOFAG U R A BAD MAN AND HAV A SHIT FACE AND PARTY, but you weren't thinking of doing that, were you? You were giong to send him a measured and well-written document of your displeasure, with punctation and everything. Send a letter anyway, it's slightly harder to get rid of.
Not quite but I do think that the erosion of civil liberties in this country and the use of internet monitoring software like "carnivore" means that anyone thinking about taking more direct action has to be careful about being framed or targetted for their activism.
Yeah I know what you mean Paul, I study the AVCE in ICT... my Internet and Services tutoe told me all about that kinda stuff, it's scary how every digital transfere is recoreded by Echelon
I'm happy to accept that you have the right to a pro-war opinion, but is there any reason why you feel the need to spam every Iraq-related thread with the same old arguments?
No but they will more than likely put you on a watch list of some kind. My guess is that just by posting on a website like this with talk of anti-establishment type stuff, we are all bound to be on a list of possible dissidents...
I will happily stand up in court to explain my actions, i'll make sure a few journalists and protestors are there too. In my eyes our protests are more necessary than ever before in history, our future depends on the actions we take today. Nothing is more important to me than the future of humanity, i can see the changes in our "civilization", things could get even worse if we don't ACT NOW.
Tony Blair can hardly be called on to say sorry, when he based his opinion on the secret intellegence material of the time, which suggested Iraq did have banned weapons. Material which he believed to be correct. No secret intellenge information is foolproof. Its like a weather forcaster who studies scientific reports of atomopheric conditions, at the end of the day all he can do is make and educated estimate.
Look, dickhead, can you try and show some fucking respect? You've been asked repeatedly not to discuss these issues in the protest forum. There are plenty of threads in the general forum where you can discuss this issue. Your behaviour at this point is trolling. Which bit of this isn't clear enough for you?
But wait, I see some deabate here on this thread :- It seems you can discuss the rights and wrongs of Tony Blairs failure to apologise on this thread as long as you are of the belief that he should apologise.
You'll have to ask Claire regarding her specific policy on that point. My personal position would be yes, it's ok to make comments in support of the particular protest, seeing as those interested in attending will be of a similar mind. As soon as you start challenging those opinions, you creata debate, and debates will swamp the original purpose of the post - providing information and coordinating. Also, seeing someone else break a rule is not an excuse for doing so yourself. Particularly when you've specifically been asked to refrain from that kind of behaviour. Pointing the finger at someone else and saying "but he's doing it too" is the mentality of a child when challenged by a teacher. Nobody's trying to silence you. You can debate to your heart's content in the main forum. You're aware of the forum rules, so stick to them or fuck off, eh?
Treehouse, Please read my forum rules. This is a forum for likeminded people to share information and arrange to meet up. Please take this debate to the main UK forum. My forum is an anti-war / pro-peace forum. If you don't agree with that then don't come here, it makes me sad to say that, but I feel you are treading a fine line between debate and flaming. This is my second request to you now, please don't make me ask a third time. Take it easy Claire
