Yesterday, while meditating- I started seeing colors and shapes "flowing" from things at great speed. The teeming solidity of things was tingling. Lots of pinks iggy: and greens . Anyone experience this?
You guys don't have a visual imagination? Consciousness manifests itself infinite ways (or it tries to, at least) You can see anything you want, you can see everything that's there. Most of the time you're at whim, in the windy sea of it watching, watching ey Prax if you sing, or hum with your intentions you can weave through this matrix
I have experience seeing colours during meditations, they are usually quite vivid shades of green and violet, but other colours do make a surprising display too. I also see colours just doing mundane stuff. I like to think that they are an extension of my aura.
Yes Cherea I see colours, shapes, robots, seas, deserts, sci-fi landscapes etc, really anything. Do you use the the third eye as a focal point? Namaste
Don't even look, let your brain just go take a flight to Boston!!!!!!!!! I was smoked out one day and waiting for a bus, that was the only time I saw any visual while meditating, this was when I was deep into the assemblage point, that always helped my mind expand, these were closed eye visuals of a 3-d globe that played off the shadows behind my lids, actual shit outside my eyes I mean. I always get this flash that looks like a white sun exploding if I close my eyes and think about it. My favorite thing to do is walk and make random noises, I end up hearing metallic sounding shit and it feels like I am being sung a lullaby in my heart.
I've had close eyed visuals of purple and green, oscillating...playing with each other...but you're talking open eye visuals? never.
Yes I see these vibrant colours all the time, more often when cooking dinner than in meditation. Some say they are vital to deeper states, others say they are beautiful but still distractions from the goal. I really dont know what to make of them, so when they come they come and when they go they go lol. I guess I lean more towards them serving a purpose at a point but then becoming one of many effects from higher awareness later on the path. That's how its been in my case, anyway. I have a book at home by Yogananda where he goes into much detail about these two colours, I'll see if I can dig it up at some point and share what he says.
The problem is that most people can not understand that sound is not a result of creation, but that creation is a result of sound. Since we retrace into our birth, we go backwards, and the sound ALWAYS comes before the vision starts dancing back into life. I've never made any audible sounds during meditation, but some people prefer the internal method while others prefer the external chanting. Om is not just a vibration which stimulates the 3rd eye, and its not just the microwave radiation background that blew out at the moment of creation and has light catching up to it. Om is God, plain and simple, complexed and fucked up.
Yea I read or heard somewhere that chanting is really pointless to meditation, this was after I had found my self loving meditation and it made sense to me, I never connected the fact that some of my most intense meditation ends up with my mouth making noises that don't sound at all human. In fact I doubt it matters either way how you meditate as long as your goal is set and you have the mindfulness it takes to blast off.
the best high ive ever had was from meditation, felt like i ate a 1/2 gram of mdma. ive had visuals, it lasted over a month of my early meditation practice.
I had a lady I worked with in the past sparingly, one time after I had already found a newer job, I went in and ended up talking with her for a while which was weird to me, cause we just knew of each other, anyways this older mexican lady, M talked to me, asked me to close my eyes, I did, and she talked and blessed me and I felt like I was having a moment of true bliss, it lasted for a while, I was crying profusely. I could have just stood there all day enjoying that feeling.
