I got it done today at the mall for both ears. I eventually want to stretch them but there's no rush. I do have a problem though. I fucking hate the earrings that are in there right now. They're the little silver balls, which I thought would be fine until they healed, but I look rather feminine. Now I know I'm not supposed to take them out for a couple weeks, but I really need to change these. Any advice on how to do it?
Ah, Piercing Pagoda? Lol, I got 3 rounds of piercings there. Those silver balls itch after a while. What at least 4 weeks to changed them. It may hurt to change it and SOMETIMES becuase you didn't wait til it healed you will have trouble putting in the new pair and that shit may close on you. It happens, my friend tried changing hers after 2 weeks and when she went to put in the new earrings she couldn't put the piercing through the hole and her ear was squirting out pus and some blood. So yeah, it you must change them wait 4 weeks, although it would be better if you waited 2 months. Try to buy sea salt to help them heal good becuase the cleaning solution they give you is utter shit.
Mall = gay. You shoulda just gone to a tattoo shop. If you can, put some surgical steel or titanium captive hoops in there.
The mall is cheaper. It like $8 to get it done. As for the shops, they wanted to charge me $50 (Because they only use the needle). Sure, shop piercings heal better but it's just lobes.
I'd honestly rather spend that $8 on piercing needles and a couple of captive hoops and do it myself than trust some ditzy sixteen year old **** with a piercing gun used on hundreds of little brats.
I haven't had my ears pierced with a gun since I was like, 5... but my recommendation would be to wait until the swelling goes down (a week or so) and then go ahead and change them. Just try to do it as quickly as possible. And make sure the new jewelry and your hands are clean. I'd probably say to put CBRs in there instead of the studs.
I just replaced them that night, thanks for all the advice that was given though. They're not infected so no worries. And I went to the mall because it was convenient and cheaper than the closest tattoo/piercing place. It took like 5 minutes.
I got mine done at the mall years ago, never had a problem with them. I have 4g plugs in those same holes that piercing pagoda started for me.
