Who Still Have Old Love Letters & Cards???

I've managed to keep my collection of love letters, notes and cards. Every few years, I'll take them out and read them. Who still have old love letters and cards??

 

no one has ever given me one lol

 

I wish I had a love letter stash, but alas I've never recieved any. But if I did, I would definately keep them and reread them periodically.

 

i feel like i maybe should have kept some of the letters from my first love danny, who is actually now deceased most of them were actually e-mails, but they were very sweet. the relationship was pretty much doomed from the start...it didn't work out, but it was a beautiful first love and i wouldn't have wanted anyone else to be my first "practice love." we were together probably about 8 months. i was 16. it was sweet while it lasted, but we were going in different directions. i have no regrets and i'm actually very glad we didn't end up working out because he was just my "practice" love...

any of the other relationships i've had previous to dario (my now and *forever* love and fiance'), meh, fuckem. they were all bastards and i didn't want to keep a single piece of them in my life save for a few snapshots.

dario, my fiance' has written me lots of love letters and i keep them all, along with other little special things from him, in a special box. i'll definitely keep that one forever, and i'll show them all to our kids i love him so much!!!!

 

i still have some because I feel wrong throwing away pieces of someone's heart, i look at them sometimes, but they honestly don't evoke any feelings out of me. I hated seeing my ex boyfriend's love notes from past lovers though, so I try to keep mine out of viewing. If you are going to keep them, remember that they are personal and be smart enough to realize that your current love might be slightly irked about coming across one

 

actually dario showed me a love note from one of his old relationships, and it didn't hurt me or irk me. i thought it was sweet. i mean, this was a person he was with for 3 years, and a person like that will definitely leave a mark. i am also aware that his feelings for me are light years stronger than his feelings were for her. he was a lot younger then, as well. he describes it like this: suzy came along, and we were complete intellectual equals. jamie and i were emotional equals. but you and i are equals on all levels, on all dimensions, forever and ever..." he is so sweet! i feel secure in knowing that this relationship was in his past, and that i'm his #1 girl now...but that was a pivotal relationship to him, so it didn't bother me to see the note.

 

not only that, but the person who wrote said love note is happily married now...so there really IS no threat...hehe

 

I still have some but I did get rid of alot of the negative stuff that was written back and forth. I had held onto it too long and it wasn't good, as it was pointed out to me.
If thats is the Danny I think yer talking about, yeah, I still have some beautiful emails from him. Can't tell because I don't recognize the new sn of yours. We were just very good friends, but some of the things he wrote were amazing.

 

i wrote you a PM. danny was a person who, even if you were just his friend, wrote very beautiful things for people...he was awesome...

 

i have a few, but I only kept the ones from people who have since passed away.

 

This is the one from Danny. Like I said, it wasn't a love letter, but there was great love and a deep friendship that endure for awhile on this plane. Thought you may enjoy the poem. It may have been written for you. He sent this when I was feeling low. He always had a way to make me smile, to take me out of whatever I was vexing about for the moment.

I always wanted to meet the person he wrote that for originally. Bet she would be amazing fun to be with and talk to. He was very good at spreading smiles.

 

i wonder if it was me...i don't know, cause we broke up in 2000...

 

Who knows, lol, the boy could have written it from everyone he ever knew and all the things he thought they should be too. He was a very good writer.

 

oh wow, that letter brought tears to my eyes! soooo beautiful. he sounds like such an incredible person wish i had known him..

 

My last girlfriend and I wrote lots of love letters back and forth, I started collecting them in this binder... we're broken up now and I still have them, they are away in a cedar chest in my basement. I haven't reread them yet but I imagine one day I will.

 

I had a bunch from my last girl friend. But gave them all back to her after she cheated on me the second time. I don't like to keep things to remind me of her because I just get depressed about those kind of things.

 

My first girlfriend and I used to exchange love notes. I kept them for a while after we broke up, but I had them incinerated after finding out she had been seeing another guy before we broke up.

 

My fiance still leaves me notes around house with things like I love you or Good morning princess written on them, particularly if he leaves the house when I'm still asleep. I think it's so sweet
