hey guys i am just wondering how often you wash your dreads curently i wash mine every other day and i am wondering if that is to much there about 1 month old
I was mine about once a fortnight but that is because I am a tramp, although if I had to express an opinion I'd say your doing it too much for such young dreads, but it's not like your hair is going to spontaneously untangle.
I was mine about every third day. When they mature I might have to wash less as they will take longer to dry. When mine were really young I used to wash everyday, it didnt do them any harm.
I wash about 2/4 times a week. It just feels so good I can't resist! I think it's doing mine some good they are always way more matted after a wash.
i hate how mine feel the day of a wash, but the day after.. its just my best day. idk if that made sense! =D
i wash mine with my dr b's concoction about once a week. my hair is also no longer stripped and produces a healthy amount of oils. although when i shower in the mornings, i go through pretty much each lock, lift it up and make sure my scalp gets wet and gets hit from the direct water pressure. some people put stuff on their head when they shower to keep the water from hitting the locks but I have done it with no problems and no stocking every morning for nearly 3 months.
Usually once a week but over the Christmas period I've had to wash three times a week due to cooking everyday and getting a variety of fats in my dreads
Every 10-14 days. I don't feel like I should habitually have to wash my hair like I did before with undreaded hair.
I wash mine about every three days. They will be two months tomorrow and I don't think it has hindered them at all.
When you guys dont wash your hair, do you still get it wet? It's such a bitch drying them every morning and having to wake up extra early just to let them dry before I go to work, since I have to tie my hair back. How much does tying your hair back hinder the growth of your dreads? It's usually only for a few hours 5 days a week.
i get my hair wet in the mornings, yea it will only slow the process wher the lock is held tigh for the 5 hours that you wear it.
I wash pretty much daily. I think it helps locking either way, it keeps oil away (and I do not strip my hair, so it's not a matter of letting my hair even out either), and I use soaps or infusions that help my hair lock up. I will wash less the older my dreads get I'm sure, but right now they dry fast. I wash less often when I'm not working though.
