really strange how bush was attacked for his workout regime not very many years ago, http://articles.latimes.com/2005/jul/22/opinion/oe-chait22 and now that it turns out obama works out religiously the media doesnt blink a eye .. go figure.. Another day, another workout for Obama
no not at all.. just found it interesting.. anyone know if he still plans on ripping out the bowling alley and putting in the basketball court at the whitehouse? what with the economy tanking and everyone going to have to make sacrifices etc. i wonder if he will forgo that little renovation..
So in 2005 there was an editorial in one newspaper, and you think this represents some kind of media bias? Even the writer had to ask if he was the only one that thinks that - hardly a sign that it was a widespread issue. I've never heard anyone talk about it. The press isn't some kind of collective whole with one giant pulsating brain. "The media" didn't report it, an editorial at a newspaper was written by a person and approved by an editor. That's all.
So your argument is that the media was too hard on Bush in 2002 and is too easy on Obama now? Because one reporter said that Bush offering his own commentary that Bush was exercising too much? And that a completely seperate article years later in a different publication stated details of his workout routine? This is endemic of media bias? I see a bit of dissidence in your arguments.
wow you certainly read a lot into a couple sentences dont you.. i wasnt making a arguement as i stated in my second post in this thread,i just "found it interesting".
The mainstream U.S. media goes through bandwagon stages. They all kissed Bush's rear end non-stop for a few years after 9/11. When they could no longer deny all of the ways he screwed up the U.S. and other countries, they started criticizing him about many of the same problems that people with insight had recognized years earlier. Obama is in the honeymoon phase with the media right now. He'll have problems later. .
let us not forget fatty clinton's flack for the cheeseburgers and such. the health of the president does draw a lot of concern from various people. it's just that some people have no idea that it's possible to do more than one thing at once.
