Lenny Bruce < The godfather of modern stand-up comedy. Arrested 9 times for obscenity. The guy who George Carlin and Richard Pryor cite as their main influence.

 

So many great comedians out there... But I guess I'll go with Louis C.K. I'm not really sure how to describe his comedy, but he's one of my favorites.
