Theres your problem. baby oil has a petroleum derivitive in it and that is what is probably fucking it up. What kind of lotion are you using?

baby oil is can be used after the scabs go away, but not before. It irritates it. Shoulda just used A&D

baby oil may not be the only problem... is that yellow ink? a surprisingly high percentage of people are allergic to yellow ink, quite a few are allergic to red too.

Good catch NGNM. I didnt even think of the ink. Best advice is to go to the artist that did it ASAP, but since you got it done in FL, you need to go to a shop in your town and let them recommend something for you. NOW NOW NOW

Stop using suave. Go get you a tube of A&D or Lubriderm UNscented.

Lesson learned: get your tattoos done where you will be able to go back to the original artist if something should happen. Vacation tat's arent the best idea. I hope you can get this sorted out lulu

i mean do ya think they have no problem tattooing it over or changing the color of the sunflower? (i didnt want yellow in the first place) or will it be a problem?

I will check that out. for my other one i used ointment and had no problems

I dunno tbh.. I dont think theres any way to get rid of it apart from laser surgery, though I think occasionally the ink can be pushed out of the skin completely by the blisters.. BMEzine suggests treating the symptoms with allergy creams and anti-histamines.

It may be worth talking to both a doctor and a well-respected artist before you try and get it covered up.

Thats if its definately an allergy! stop using the baby oil first, it may sort itself out.

Also, let it finish scabbing before you panic, my side looked like shit when it was all scabbed up but once the scabs came off I knew what I was working with.

See? Not as bad as you thought. When I got my side done I thought that I had lost all the red, but it wasn't half as bad as it looked.
