I called to make an appointment, with just a family practitioner. It would have been longer if I had wanted a female doc. CrAzY. I mean, I could see one tomorrow if I wanted to go to a doc in the hometown, but I don't.
That's how it is with our doctor, too. If you want an appointment, you'd be lucky to get one within the month. Except the time I was on birth control and it made me crazy and my mom called them because I was hysterical and she was afraid I was going to hurt myself (which I probably wouldn't have, but who knows), they got me in right away. So to get into my doctor, you have to threaten suicide or you know, be dying to be able to get in right away.
Why would you want to see a female doctor? Unless she's hot and easy there's no point - her smaller brain cannot possibly understand the intricacies of the human body.
That's why I am seeing a male doctor whose name I cannot pronounce. Didn't want no female or stupid American.
Good call - at least you know the foreigner probably wasn't in a frat at college and actually did his homework instead of being fucking drunk all the time.
Walk in clinics they are the best. Cheaper, faster and no BS. I pay my cash, they do as I need and I am out of there. I can spend hours in a waiting room even with an appointment going to my regular doctor and half the time he is wrong about shit. worthless fuckers.
What? Weird. I have never had to wait to see a family doctor. I mean, the most might be 2-3 days because of the weekend and depending on the time of day that I call. And even if I couldn't wait, I'd just go to a walk-in clinic and wait a few minutes if I had to. That's too long to see your doctor. Find a better one.
Me neither. I've never had to wait longer than a day to see a GP here. I did have these sorts of problems in England and Scotland however.
Yup, urgent care clinic, not for the poor just for those who dont wanna pay for ER and if they hate to wait. I am not a patient patient, lol
Ah yes. Another strange American phenomenon. If I went to the ER with a cold in Canada, they would send me home and tell me to go see my family doctor. It's weird to even think about going to the ER for a sore throat or things that. They won't treat you. ER is meant for emergencies. Not to treat warts and check your cholesterol. Strange.
I'm British dude, I can go on the dole there and everything. Their health care system just sucks, but its free so I never complained.
I can get into the clinic here in town the very same day I call if I want to go out here, so if I NEED to go to a clinic right away, I go out here. But for physicals and stuff, I go to the family doctor. Well, she's a specialist in "internal medicine and general practices." She's actually a new doctor, though...same practice, I guess, just a new doctor took over. Haven't met this one yet. But at the clinic here, they've only got a physician's assistant, and while he's a badass and really fucking good at his job, he's not allowed to prescribe narcotics and they don't do x-rays.
