Car Wrecks Are Damn Trippy

Today, a suburban turned left coming opposite from me, and I hit them. (Completely their fault, without doubt, I had green light) Head on about 40 MPH... it was fucking crazy because like, I panixcked at first, then I accepted I was going to hit them, and after I accepted it, I thought of like 20 different ways this would play out, and was thinking like, "Dude this is how people break bones. Fuck I don't want to get broken bones, that sucks, surely it won't hurt right away from the shock, I guess that's good, hey that car im crashing into is green." I just kept rambling thoughts and I was able to register each one... it really was slow motion. Then the shock and adrenaline fucked me up too... I was trying to decide if I was dead or broken and whatnot... It was fucking scary... really sucked.
Humurously... like 8 hispanic people were standing on the corner, obviously all from the car... but they had all run away before the cops showed up.... not sure if thats a bad thing for my case or something... but I'm also really scared they'll all just set up a story so their friend won't get in trouble. I din't even know they were leaving... like, I didn't know what to think about for the longest time, so I just didn't think of anything... so that also threw me for a ride.
It sucked because I had been at a hookah bar was earlier in the day, and had just dropped a friend off so I reeked of smoke, and maybe some pot from my friends earlier. I was nervous about the cops getting suspicious

your story doesn't add up. just because you have a green light doesn't mean you can just plow right into someone. you must have seen them start turning, and they must have been at least halfway through the turn for you to have hit them and them to not have hit you... if that makes any sense.

if the scene in my head is correct, this was a T bone... meaning you slammed into the side of their car. in that case, have fun, because i'm pretty sure they're going to say it's you're fault.

 

They pulled out in front of him illegally = not his fault.


Few years back I was following my friend from her house. She wasn't paying attention and pulled out in front of the car and she got t-boned, still was her fault.

 

well then, i pray that's the case. even if they settle on partially his fault, his insurance is going to sky rocket

Sounds scary. I've never been in a car accident, but it was a car accident that made my mum decide to sell her old Volkswagen.

 

it's gonna suck if the other driver has no car insurance, which is usually fairly common during economic recessions such as this one.

 

so if someone has no insurance, and they hit you, you get no moneyto fix your car? wtf? can you sue them?

Wont the government give the money to you and then have them owe it to the government?

lolololol. i'm not sure, as i've never been in the situation. i imagine it'd be a little bit of both though? perhaps they go to jail for x time, then pay the government back?

I know afew people who drove without insurance for years... But the were good and carefull drivers... no crashes or anything.
But yeah, i guess prison time < run away.

 

if someone hit me and wouldnt fix my car, and i had to pay for it while nothing happened to them, i'd do something fucked up like destroy his car or house, or just beat the fuck out of him... thats so fucked up that a responsible person who insures their car, which you have to, would suffer cause of some scumbag who cant afford insurance... if you cant insure your vehicle, you can't fuckin drive it.
