I had a dream about a boy who used to be in my class. He protected me by taking my place in a school yard fight with another boy. I was really surprised by him even doing this. The boy who protected me won the fight basically by doing the ole look-e-rue. Basically he said "whats that?" and the other boy looked away and then he got knocked out. The funny thing however was that there remained a conspicuous hankercheif that fell out of the boys back pocket. That's what initially made the boy who protected me say "what's that?". Following that dream I had another where I was in the backyard of a house. The backyard had bright green grass and I was looking around and saw snakes (I believe I counted 5), long long snakes. There was a garden hose there as well. What does it all mean? Any thoughts? EDIT: I'm trying to find a sign from God everywhere, so this is why I'm asking.
Well, snakes are very symbolic creatures. They have god-like knowledge in many religions and myths (Take the snake from Eden for example). They are also associated with guardians and rebirth and poison and medicine etc. Here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serpent_(symbolism)
It could mean to Watch Out for this person you went to school with - he may Act like your friend, even go out of his way to aid you in some way, but do not trust him... I, too, have had dreams of snakes when there was a "friend" around - that basically were warning me this Was Not someone to truly consider a friend! As I write this, I feel I must say that the dream seemed to verify a "feeling" I'd had all along, if that makes sense. (Time proved she was friend to no one.) With your dreams back to back like that, And you remembering them pretty well, I'd say heed any inner feeling(s) you have now or may have if you run across someone who may well be a wolf in sheep's clothing, so to say.
To me the message would be, instead of looking for signs of God, to look for God. Depending on how you look, everything may become God. Just don't get distracted.
