Why should anyone bother to disprove the Bible? It would be like disproving the events of Matilda by Roald Dahl. If someone truly believes that it is the gospel truth then they will find some way for what has been disproven not to have been disproven, or for it not to matter, or for us all to be missing the point. And if it comes to it, they'll ignore any argument they don't feel comfortable with and cite from the text as an argument against someone who doesn't have an equivalent infallible text to cite from. Thus they win, without really proving or even arguing anything.

It's an unbalanced argument for a devout literalist to argue against an atheist cynic; it's asking someone who at least tries to believe in as little as possible to prove you shouldn't believe in something which the literalist will then use as his only source of reference.

Do you have any proof that anything in the Bible happened, other than that the Bible told you that it did, and that the Bible told you it wasn't lying as well? Because if not, then fine, but don't expect anyone else to share your belief, and don't go around challenging people to believe it.
