Why not be normal? Are you not happy with life? I want someone to give a good answer here a real deep profound one. Because I don't think too many people can really answer "why high". Anyone can say "to get fucked up" but I want a real answer

yeah thats funny, because no one said to get fucked up. why high? why do you have to ask? do you have some inner quarrels amongst yourself that your trying to deal with or what? why do you seem to have a problem with it? you want a real deep and profound answer, well is that because your not deep and profound enough to answer for yourself? not everything needs deep and profound answer, most are quite simple. we can, so we do. you must remember that normal is subjective. for me it was normal for a few years to do dxm several times a week. and i was happy with my life. so why did i get high? simply because i could. it was something i had the ability to do, so i capitalized on it. why post meaningless questions in forums? because you can and you did. think of it this way, if the universe didnt want it to happen, its laws would've prevented it. the universe only allows whats supposed to happen, happen. and anyone can say someone elses response isnt a real answer just because they choose not to agree with it. if it doesnt fit my brains mold of reality its not real. high, because its there and we see it. as a curious species we tend to go after things we see within our reach. you can get high a lot of different ways, eating, giving to charity, whatever floats your boat, its just our way of describing the feeling of bringing happiness to ourselves. we go about it different ways, but its all just to make life less boring. not everyone gets high off of chemicals keep in mind.

Altering my consciousness makes it possible for me to perceive the world in a different way. You will never understand any benefits of this that I might talk about unless you expand your own mind, so I will not go deep into the subject. Every civilization has used intoxicating substances for various reasons, why don't you go look it up.

Dude I'm not trying to ruin your thread. Just asking a question.

Why High? Why not? It's often hard to put into words what some of these substances do for me. I've had some crazy self realizations after taking certain substances. At the end of the day it is all how your approach "getting high."

I'm the kind of person that doesn't abuse drugs. I do them occasionally when I feel the time is right. And I'm talking about psychedelics, not hard drugs. I believe that if used in the right context one can learn more about themselves and help them question the reality surrounding them. I do it more for the thought process than getting "fucked up." (Bodies highs and visuals are a nice added bonus though):cheers2:

I think the question is more "why not high?" Why are so many people against the exploration of psychedelics. For the most part our society frowns upon it. People in this forum are definitely in the minority.

And Billionz why don't you elaborate more. Are you against being "high"?

I'm curious, as well. Why is it looked upon in such a negative way? And what is this "normal" you speak of?
