okay so imput on this would be really nice... Today I heard from my ex... who i haven't heard from since the 4th. We talked about my life and what was going on in it... He asked if i was dating... (I'm not) and didn't really say if he was... but i am almost positive he is... anyhow he just up and calls me out of the blue?! what could he possibly want... like really.... if he is dating someone... and hasn't bothered to try and keep contact until now??!!! wtf?! worst part is i know i'm not over him and have been trying to read too much into it... i don't want to do that... i want an honest opinion on the matter... it seems so stupid to get so stressed and stirred up over a dumb phone call... but this pathetic love isn't always sensible.
It's impossible for us to know what is going on in his mind just because we're men, sweetie. Call him and ask.

First guess is a booty call Second is he can't find anyone else, so he checks in to see if you will welcome him back. Based on how long it took him to call you, don't fall for it. If he puts in the effort to be part of your life again, then you can think about your options. A random phone call 5 months later needs to be handled with caution.
