well, i don't hate christmas per say, i just hate the craziness of this time of the year! i have no problem at all, with any religion or philosophy, that calls upon bringing light into the darkness or, as i think of it, as blowing upon the coal of the heart, to keep, the ember of compassion, toward all living things alight all year long. ok, i know that sounds kind of buddhest and, yet, i just don't feel or, think any person of good will, of any religion or, even an atheist could disagree with that. like i said i hate christmas for the craziness of this time of year. this year, the best example of that was that disater at a wal-mart late last month when, people broke down the doors and, trampled one poor guy to death then, when they were asked to leave so the med-techs could treat the guy, the "coustumers" told the techs to "go fuck themselves" because they had waited overnight to get a toy for their kid. that sure is real good will toward all! due to shit like this every year, this, is what makes me hate christmas. people talk the talk and fail to walk the walk. people live by the letter of christmas which kills and, fail at living by the spirit of christmas that imparts life... have we not not learned anything from dickens?
Well the mas of Christ, is about worshiping Christ, which pertains to the first part of your post. As far as Christmas as a holiday in the west, thats about worshiping Santa. Which is all about material things = good and not having material things = bad. So really the holiday isnt so righteous, it's capalist and i can see why it doesnt bring out the best in people
Aw, I love Christmas. But then again, I don't have to deal with all the stressful shit. I'm only 15, after all.
I'm not big on Christmas either. I'm a real big Mr. Scrooge. I don't see the point in me speding $20 on you and you spending $20 on me, let's just keep our fucking money and just spend some time together. I also don't care for the competition of the season. I always over spend just so I don't have anyone saying I spend to little. It makes me paranoid, I'm an ass kisser that way.
