I am growing natural dreads, and while I don't remember the date I last brushed my hair (because I hardly ever brushed it to start with) I do know it's been since the late summer. Most likely August. Anyway, I definitely have dreads going on, while my entire hair is not knotted the ends are about 80% dreaded and the roots are not tangled much at all but are beginning to separate as the dreadie moves upwards. So, they are super thin. I mean t.h.i.n.. My hair is not extremely thin nor is it extremely thick. So I'm surprised at the size of them. I know they will fatten up over time, and they haven't started to shrink yet but wow!! I wonder if I'm dready deformed or something. I'll get pics I swear. My partner got a new camera for christmas, so as soon as we get our presents tomorrow I will post them ya'll. Yay for early christmas. I just wanted to vent/explain/dance around/throw a squirrel. You know, whatever. Anyone else? Got naturally thin natural dreads~!?
i have a few that are /were really thin, like not even a cm in diameter. it wasn't my whole head though.
i know what you mean. mine are like 5 or 6 months natural, and they are so thin. And there are so many of them since they are thin, and they are all close together so you cant even tell my hair is dreaded at all unless you are up close.
You can barely see my dreads in these photos but they are all i have right now. If you see where my hair looks curly, it is actually dreads. Very small ones.
