Does anyone else here have a B-12 deficiency? I've been deathly sick for 3 years with an unknown cause, until a neurologist decided to draw blood from me to test for a B-12 deficiency. It turns out that my B-12 is extremely low, and at this point, it's gone on so long that I have severe neurological damage because of it.

If anyone has any experience with this please write back or PM me.

    Thanks,
    Willow

that is real nasty as you found out. are you a vegan? vegans are at risk for b-12 deficiency. you can get vegans foods that are fortified with b-12 like, some brands of tofu or orange juice. it only takes about one (1) mcg. of b-12 a day to meet your needs and, fortified foods are way above that level per serving.

if your not able to asbsorb b-12 from food, you can buy liqued b-12 that you place under your tounge, which go directly into your blood stream.

I'm not vegan, I'm not even a vegetarian anymore. Haven't been in probably 10 years. The doctors aren't sure why I have a B-12 deficiency unless it's because of my other medical problems. I have had Acid reflux, hiatal hernia, and esophagal spasms for 4 years now. Somehow I think that the antacid medicines(prilosec, Zantac, Nexium, tums) may have played a role in my B-12 being way too low. I've been taking B-12 shots for a couple of weeks now, but I'm not sure if they're helping or doing more damage.

Thank you Blackcat666 for writing back to me. :)
