What's everyone using? Anyone tried The Weather Network's desktop gadget? I've read great things about it online, and wanted to see if anyone's personally tried it.

You need to know that these kinds of installations are much like toolbars you install. They sometimes collect data about your surfing habits and then phone home about it.

You get a gadget, which often taxes your computer in some way, and they get a database they can sell for big money.

Unless you like gadgets, you should stay away from them.

Interesting...thanks for the heads up. I have the Vista gadget right now but it doesn't give much info about weather, so I was looking to see what everyone else is using. The Weather Network also has this gadget for Facebook and cell phones as well, so I don't think they're in it to sell databases.
