Last night I got a call from my mom that our dog died... I am distraught. She was only 5 and it came out of no where and I didn't even get to say goodbye. The saddest thing about it all is that she was a birthday gift to my brother 5 years ago and she died on his birthday. I know this isn't a thread kinda thing but I am so upset. What a bad time too.... right at Christmas... Coco loves being around people and a bunch of us would have been around...
bizarre,chalk that one up to a "it was meant to be" event.. something good will come of it,it may take years to figure out what it was but it will..always does with a event like this..
Aww. She must have had something very wrong with her to die so young. Just a thought, I mean no offense, but could they be keeping the truth from you due to your pregnancy? My sister's dog was hit by a car, and my nieces were lied to about it. I disagree with that practice.
I thought the dog might have gotten into something.... because she gets into a lot but apparently my stepdad took her to the vet yesterday afternoon to do some blood work and they said it must be her liver since it happened so quickly. I don't think she could have been hit by a car because the road is far away from our house.... Then at 9:30 my stepdad went to take her back to the vet because she was pooping and vomiting everywhere.... and my stepdad said she didn't even make it to the vets.... I hope she wasn't in to much pain. Thanks guys. I know some good will come of this but our other dog is short to the end because he is 14.... I think we will need to get another dog for my stepdad.... the dogs are his companion during the day.... I called him this morning... he sounds so sad...
I'm sorry- that's really sad! My ferret girlie died yesterday and she was really young and it was really random also. So sad...
Aw. :sad: But its ok, all dogs go to heaven and soon the animal gods will bless you with another baby soon.
awww that is awful! I'm so sorry for your loss! On a lighter note-your step dad can have my brother as a pet! he is well trained and only barks sometimes
awww Em im sorry... i was upset for quitea while when my dog died, its normal, especially when theyve been a companion for you for years *big hugs*
That's really sad... Poor dog... My puppy dog died too, she didn't get to be even one year old... that happened many years ago though.
Thanks guys. I've never had a pet this significant die before.... we had a 17 year old cat put to sleep but we knew it was coming....
