Bigger Mind Fuck/More Intense: Acid vs Shrooms

A lot of threads between acid and shrooms have been devoted to which psychedelic they prefer. This thread will be about voting and discussing which psychedelic is more intense and a bigger mind fuck. Now I remember making a thread about the biggest mind fuck of all the psychedelics and I think DMT easily won. Acid and shrooms followed next. In fact they were a perfect tie (20-20).....beating out the next obvious mind fuck DPT. But who takes the second place prize; acid or shrooms?

It's sort of hard for me to decide, because I have more experience with shrooms than I do acid which may effect my decision on it. I've tripped pretty hard when I take acid, being unable to concentrate on a certain task, jumping from one mental topic to the next.....but visual suggestions on backrounds have been stronger with shrooms. So it's hard to say. Shrooms is more a physical body fuck.....mentally it's still very strong.

Shrooms lasts for about 4-8 hours......which many people use as an example to point out that the duration is shorter because the trip is more intense than acid's 6-12 hours. And there is the possibility of entity contact with shrooms more so than acid (and shrooms being more like dmt than acid). Still the colors seems to range more with acid. And the analytical side of lucy seems to be more prominent.....especially more negative analysis.....where as with shrooms I tend to focus more on time and metaphysics. And laughing, lol.

Hard to say....what do you think? Remember this is about which is a bigger mind fuck or more intense, not which psychedelic you prefer.

 

I think this is kind of a hard question to answer. Think about how many different types of mushrooms there are. Over the summer me and my friend got these killer mushrooms. Such an intense mind-fuck. All of the times I had done mushrooms before that it was not even close to that....

If I had to vote though I would go with acid.

 

shrooms, cuse on lower doses, it fucks with your mind and i LOVE IT!

 

Well an eighth is pretty social but not much of a mind fuck. But 5-7 grams is a mind fuck.

 

4-8 hits of high power blotter acid is pretty intense though....hard to concentrate on anything but the feelings of union.

 

I really feel like they are pretty different in my experience... All though I have only done cid like 5 times and Ive taken shrooms countless times.. I think they feel similar in some aspects like the visuals can be extremely similar, but than I also feel like the natural one of the two (shrooms) always allowed me to "see" or experience more of the trip...

I think it is because when I Was on cid it was so intense at times that there was too much to take in because of all the auditory hallucinations making it hard to hear my thoughts, I have felt that on shrooms but only at peaks and plateaus... All my memories of my shrooms trips are clear and the images are crisp... where as my memories of my cid trips are a little foggy.

So yeah I think they have a lot in common that is intense and a lot that is different that can be so intense .... so I would go with choice #3

 

the hardest i have ever tripped was on mushrooms. the most i've ever taken at once though was an eighth and the most acid i've ever taken at once was just one tab. i'm kind of a baby :/ but yeah, when i tripped my balls off on mushrooms i remember asking my friend "is this what it is like to be insane?" because for a little while, i couldn't understand the reason for anything. that really fucked with me. it wasn't a bad trip, on the contrary it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. but that fucked with me, i couldn't decide what to do or what to say or how to interpret anything because i couldn't understand if there was a reason for doing it or what that reason could possibly ever be. on my tiny doses of acid, the most that happened mindfuck wise was that i had a huge epiphany that everything i ever wanted to be was already inside me waiting to be acknowledged--i realized that everything about myself i wanted to be true already was there. it is hard to explain, but it was the most beautiful feeling and one that changed my life forever, but it wasn't really a mindfuck, just a delightful observation/realization. also i felt closer to my best friends than i ever have, and i think that trip together created a deeper union between us that is like family--well these two friends of mine are actually brothers, so it was like i joined their family. which was wonderful. i also spent like three hours flipping shit over my friend's new pipe he had just bought (we were at bonnaroo) because if you rubbed your fingers over it, it changed colors and got brighter and it was just ridiculous. on mushrooms i saw crazy breathing walls and shit and i had that weird insane feeling, but i also felt this awesome union/connection with the people i was tripping with but it was like this deeper and more organic kind of "moment" thing, like we were all sharing this really special and incredible "moment" or "snapshot" in time. and there was this depth and incredible...importance about it. whereas on acid, it was just kind of this light floaty happy go lucky incredible type feeling. so i would say mushrooms probably. but i've never delved very deep into the world of lsd, all the times i've done it i only took one hit. so i can't really accurately say. YET hahaha but yeah just from what i know, mushrooms. yes.
