There is a German singer-songwriter, whose name is Reinhard Mey. He had only two single hits (but he had 21 studio albums in the top 40!). One of them was the song "Annabelle, ach Annabelle" in 1972, that peaked at #29.

It was his most controversial song. The Austrian critic Thomas Rothschild wrote about it:
Mey himself said, that the song brought him "a lot of trouble, but also a lot of fun".

Decades later, he wrote the song "Der Biker" as an apology to Annabelle, in which he appreciates her.

What do you think about it?
