Southern Ontario has gotten waaaaaaay too much snow....and will be getting more. Yesterday, the schools got closed (a rarity in the city) in "anticipation of the storm". Well, they were right in my opinion, the roads were fuckin' scary....and trust me, if you don't know London streets in the winter, don't ever come here around a storm. The city sucks for cleaning up. Usually takes a few days for my street to see a plow, but they came down this morning....But probably because we're expecting another storm tomorrow... Anyone else getting the white stuff lately?
have Toronto schools been closed...ever? lol We went out shoveling three times yesterday, luckily, today wasn't bad apart from leftovers from overnight but it's supposed to get worse tomorrow. Where are you, Drew?
We got hammered with snow in the Niagara region, however it was the winds that caused most of the problems.
They had to get a bobcat and plow all the snow that piled up everywhere and move it someplace else. At this moment, there are mounds of snow piled up at least 6 feet on the side of my house.
I'm used to all of this from NWO. I laugh when the Southerners cry about it Let's see if anyone calls in the Army
im on the BC coast.... it snowed before christmas... and we still have snow! this is unheard of, it usually gets washed away by rain in a couple of days. im stoked.
we got snow in philly last monday night and we had a two hour delay tuesday. thats really been it all winter.
I've been laughing all winter at Ontario and how it's been getting dumped on. I think winters in Calgary is the best thing I like about where I'm at now. It's almost always brilliantly sunny. Chinooks are a god-send. And the dryness of the air makes even -30C somewhat tolerable.
Well I'm from the BC Coast as well (Vancouver Island). It's not unheard of to have this much snow, just for how long it's been going on for! I'm pretty sick of it now, actually. I'm ready for the end to come. I don't know how many more times I can cut my hand on putting the chains on the tires, and then trying to grasp he steering wheel with frozen solid hands.
