both consoles have games that are solely for them, ie 360 has halo, gears of wars. that's the only ones I can think of right now, I have a 360 and it cost money to play it online, then again ps3 is FREE to play online. both systems are very good there are pros and cons to both, either way you go there;s allot of games that are available for both platforms. There's always going to be that one game you want to play but it's solely for the other one. Right now I've been playing allot of my Wii some of the games are just so simple and entertaining.... :cheers2:
PS3 with GTA IV would be like crack for me... that's why I'm NOT getting one! I used to be addicted to San Andreas on XBox... now I don't even own a T.V. or game console of any kind. Damn it! Now you got me jonesin' to play GTA!
Buy a 9800 GT or GTS 260. Then you can play nearly anything released for any console. Erm, they make a lot of console games for PC now. Shooter games are 10x's better using a mouse to aim.
pc , game cube , x box = i like kids games better and sonic rules and pc well helloooooooooo at least that i can well have more fun and add what ever i want to it from controlers to emulators to sound systems printer , scaner , cam mic , internet , joystics , you name it Alien Ware
I hate pc games, I don't like to controllers plus my computer screen is no where close to the size of my TV
Every x-box and x-box 360 I've owned has stopped working within a year. I'm probably going to buy a ps3 just because I only know one person who owns one.
I think they last as long as you treat them. I have a modded xbox that has lasted me for about 3 years now. 360 has a larger area for games, but PS3 just has that "touch" to it. The blu-ray, the graphics, the internet. They have a lot of console extras that the 360 doesn't have.
PS3 for me 360 has some good games but none that i want really and ps3s 09 games look really good to.
i have a 360, but after blu-ray won the HD war I'd go with the PS3. (Though i heard something about possible development of a 360 blu-ray player add on)
You can use an Xbox controller on a PC. But yeah. From a system builder, hardware, CompTIA A+ viewpoint, the original Playstation 1/2 consols are overall a better system. Not the miniatures though. I'd expect the same from the new PS3. For example, the PS2 has an extrodinary heat disipation design. It's design was ahead of it's time. The PS3 is basically a fully functional computer system. You can even load Linux onto it if you wanted to. I wouldn't buy any other console, if I were to buy a console.
Not to mention once developers learn how to use the full power of the cell processors the PS3 should really shine. The reason Xbox does well is because it uses old compilers which coders are used to and MS updates them slowly so there is a slow learning curve. PS3 OTOH has a massive learning curve, but whoever learns it first will come out with a mind blowing game like Farcry was for the PC.
Thought an xbox was a pc all but by name. Pc every day of the week for me dont need to rip it apart to play pirated games and when you up grade it the games run better.
I was debating this back in November...Decided on the good old PS2. $100+two games. However, between the XBOX 360 and PS3 I'd go XBOX, purely because of the cost of the PS3. Not worth the money IMO. For me right now, it's bluray smuray.
The xboc uses a PPC tri core, you know the ones apple used to use and M$ slammed as being outdated and not as good as X86... turns out they are much better at vector processing and when used with the processing power of the newer video cards do damn well if I do say so.
Yes, the PPC architecture is technically superior to x86. If I remember correctly, the PS3 has a PPC architecture of some sort. You can actually run a PPC compatible Linux operating system on the PS3.
Well some smart arse has hooked up 70 playstation2 to form a cheap super computer, not sure but think its capable of pushing the 1 terra flop mark, it runs a linux system and was being used to work out weather pattens best thing is it was the graphic chip and not the cpu that gave it that kinda power. Is'nt the ps3 an ibm cpu and nvidia graphics?
