Hey ya'll..I just got hired and starting working today at my first job! I'm like a receptionist. Finnaly, at 17 I get a job. Wondering though, if i ever want to quit, how do I do that? Like, how long do you have to work at a place in order for you to quit? Just wondering, because if I don't like it later, I would quit. But it seems alright now, and it will give me something to do and also I'll get some money! Any tips on first jobs?? Thanks!

You can quit at any time but if you want it to look good on a resume you should stay atleast 3 months before you give your 2 weeks notice. :)

Hey don't worry it happens to the best of us. :D
They should send you a check in the mail with everyone elses but if you are worried or just plain curious you could always call them. Showing up isn't always a good idea, some bosses don't like that.

heh, man i've had 5 jobs in three years. i've quit all of them except my last one i just got fired a few weeks ago for missing a day of work they said "our policy is 'if they dont show, you let em go" i had to stifle a laugh at that. but that reminds me they still owe me money. i dont know the way its looking, i dont know if i'll ever keep a job for more than two months.

Hehe...well I dont know, I messed up because I forgot to leave some key in her office, and I didnt give it to her till noon the next day because I slept in. She didn't say YOURE FIRED she just said, 'im taking u off the schedule next week' and so I just called and said "Well, I'm not going to be working with you anymore, so I'm gonna come in and get my paycheck". and sO i think in a way, i quit. hehe. and well I guess skeletons...well its kinda boring to just have one job for a long time...variety is the spice of life! and congratz we_all_shine_on!!!
