What's your happiest childhood memory? I was 12 years old. My mom and my brothers and I had just left my dad, who was abusive. And mom took us to the park, and got us ice cream cones. We'd never tasted ice cream before and we just stared at it...It was running down our arms. Finally we all dove into our cones. And we were so happy in that moment, so carefree. It was amazing.

And your saddest childhood memory? The moment that my dad told me that I was not a child. That I shouldn't act like a child, or play like a child. He broke my spirit in that moment, and I never fully recovered from it. I never played at recess. I didn't participate in school functions. I didn't have friends. He ruined my childhood.

When my cat got out of the house and she was "lost" for a few months until I found her a few houses over. I later found out, about a year ago, that my poor baby had been trying to get back in but my jerk of a father kept chasing her off. I'd say both of these events were the saddest in my life.
