    Brian Wilson Smile

    Monk's Dream

I was kind of disappointed with the latter; I should've gotten a Charlie Parker, Duke Ellington or Ornette Coleman album instead.

But Smile is absolutely incredible yet depressing. Depressing because if it had appeared in 1967 in its intended format, American pop/rock music would have simply not been the same.

    Ideally, it would be better.

IDEALLY is the integral word, though.

    Great albums,
Really enjoy "Seasons" myself, another Magna Carta album worth picking up is "Songs From Wasties Orchard"

    Latest purchases would be

Third Ear Band's Music from Roman Polanski's Macbeth Soundtrack
    Listening - S/T
Tyrannosaurus Rex - My People Were Fair...
Tyrannosaurus Rex - Prophets Seers & Sages...
    Tyrannosaurus Rex - Unicorn

Del Shannon - The Further Adventures of Charles Westover (not someone you would normally associate with psychedelia but this is a 60's psych pop gem)

I'm a vinyl guy myself. I guess 'cus it's what I grew up with. I'm in the mist of rebuilding my collection as I lost well over 1000 in a fire. This week I picked up Gentle Giant's "The power and the Glory", Neil Young's "American Stars and Bars", and King Crimson's "In the Hall of the Crimson King".
