Let me check. O yeah I am barefoot and my soles are black which would indicate I'm not one of those fabled weekend hippies. You could always tell them (wannabes) by the lack of color of their feet....lol

    The time had passed
Long hair, bare foot, free spirit, belong to the past age

You're right. Uptight, corporate, self enabled and selfish is the name of the game for the last generations.

I'm not sure if I'd be classified as a hippy but I've got long hair (almost to my waist) and love going barefoot as much as I can. At home, driving, some stores, sometimes on hiking trails, etc. Only been hassled once, in a Walgreen's store where I shop on a semi-regular basis. A lot less now! :)

Indeed they do. I was barefoot most of yesterday, minus a game of cricket.

Whenever possible, I love to go barefoot. It mostly happens at home or in festivals though, where I'm sure not to step on any broken glass, nail or needle. I wish the world was more barefeet-friendly.

I tend to go barefoot as often as I can, and I refuse to wear shoes when the sun is out.. so in the summer I'm only barefoot..

and as of right now, I don't actually own a pair of shoes.. haha

I go barefoot when it's not too cold, wet or muddy, yes. It's liberating like nothing else!

Health and Safety ! rules at work state it's a (policy) offence not to wear shoes, so I go for Crocs, (plastic sandals)
At home I am barefoot al the time - the streets however, are not so good as the people's personal hygene and attitude to both littering and 'animal mangement' leaves a lot to be desired
