If you don't eat breakfast, that's typically 10+ hours of no food, and your body needs food. Without the food, your body will go into starvation mode and slow down your metabolism. Once it slows, you won't lose as much fat, because your body will hold onto it since it's not being fed. Instead of just PB and apple, try complex carbs and proteins. PB is a good protein, and eggs are too. 50 pounds is really not a realistic goal in two month. If you lose weight that fast, it's easy to gain it back just as fast or faster. If you want to be healthy it cannot be a diet, or a simple workout, you have to make a lifestyle change. Change one thing at a time and make small goals for every 2 weeks or so, with a big picture goal for say a year or so. As far as food: stay away from simple carbs (white bread/crackers desserts) eat complex carbs (fruits/veggies) and proteins (meats) whole grains If you drink soda, that's one thing you can give up, regardless if it is 0 calorie or not. Also for workouts, lifting light weights will be help, because your metabolism speeds up up to 36 hours after lifting weights. Also, find a place to walk or something you like to do active. Try to do it 3-5 times a week. =)
here is what i had today. i had an apple with 1/3 cup natural peanut butter, veggy wonton soup, one fortune cookie, 2 bowls of cheese tortellini. to drink water, water with ice, and more water. i did bad with the torts. i need to be able to make fast quick meals that dont require lots of chopping, or cost lots of money
50 pounds is alot, though. But I was watching this show where this lady exercised and lost 30 pounds in a month. but thats an etreme amount of exercising. there are 3500 calories to a pound. running at 7 mph burns 800/h.
I probably consumed 3x the calories you did but I concluded the day with 2 hours of intense full-court basketball at the gymnasium. hence I remain at my current weight of 170 lbs Hotwater
i never ever drink diet soda. but soda isnt a hard thing for me to give up. its the cookies, brownies, and tasty treats like that. i think if try eating fruits more when i get a craving, that might help. like strawberries or raspberries or cherries.
please, for the sake of me not reading any more stupid fucking bullshit read this: http://www.bodyrecomposition.com/re...uency-and-energy-balance-research-review.html
i dont like when people say to eat 6 small meals a day. i eat three meals a day, i just eat bad food. i agree with you fitzy
You may not like it but it is the only way to teach your body to burn fat, any less than three meals is detrimental to your health. Eat a hearty breakfast, or when you are able to, then do so, trust me you will want to if your body is working for you. A lot of people seem to have it backwards thinking that dinner should be a big meal, when it shouldn't be your biggest meal, it should be your smallest, that is when you will get a fourth and fifth meal in or snack, not meal really. Your body will burn it up, and it will be working until your metabolism goes to sleep, then you wake up with no hunger pains, just eat essential things, like fruit, juice, milk, some oats maybe with raisins, a half a banana, your bodies metabolism will get stronger this way and start functioning correctly. Do that or forget about losing the weight naturally. Also you might be better off going to the gym, which you do and is good, but add 30 minutes of cardio to the front end of your work out as well, then the weight machines, then more cardio, got it?
You, the person who posted the video, and everyone who commented on the video, did not watch the video. How do I know that? Because in the first 30 seconds she explains she's on ecstasy, not crack.
I don't have the time to counter some of the misinformation here... there are some good tidbits, like the importance of breakfast- and like it or not smaller more numerous meals tends to be better. Fitzy can be a good source of information but you have to be more open to things you "don't like". 50 pounds in two months is not health and I find it ironic that it's for health insurance reasons. I could share things but I get the sense that you're not really open to them. I do hope that you take on a more reasonable rate of reaching a healthier body mass and wish you luck. You need to think about how you're going to handle nutrition and exercise once you've reached the goal- so this doesn't come up again. Part of the battle involves what you put on your table but a key to success is dealing with what's going on inside your head and what you really know about nutrition.
^ Fuck that I'm still posting. You can lose 1 pound a day by just drinking a lot of water and eating a top roman a day, but I would advise drinking v8 or at least taking vitamins so you still get what you need. EDIT: I also heard that if you fast for over 40 days your muscle starts deteriorating, and the brain is first to go.
