i've been contemplating some hennastyle ink on my feet, since i go barefoot a lot. it would get shown off a lot, and might help ease people's minds when they see me barefoot in public, cause it kinda looks like shoes. anyways, what do you guys think of these pics? :)

I really like these two, they're gorgeous.

I dunno how they would work with so much detail though, and especially the toe bits.. coz with foot tattoos, and particularly tattoos on your toes, the ink is a lot more likely to spread and make the tattoo all blurry looking. And that's got nothing to do with your tattoo artist's talent either. That's the only thing that's stopping me from getting my feet tattooed. Well for now anyway..

I like them. I know there is a lot of symbolism in tradditional henna designs, so it'd be cool if you got something meaningful to you as well as just being attractive. I have no idea what those designs represent, but its something to look into beofre deciding on the final design.

Anyway, yeah, foot tattoos can heal rough, but if you take care of them during the healing process(go barefoot the whole time if you can) it will probably be alright. Also, hena is good for the feet because the symplicity makes it more likely to heal well.

I really love the last two. I don't know much about henna tattoos but you've got me interested now. :)

for me, getting henna style tattoos on my feet would be meaningful as marking a milestone in my life, when i started going barefoot publicly. for me it's a statement that i am who i am, and i'm beautiful that way, regardless of what society says is "normal."

the second pic (which i think is my favorite at this point) is a traditional wedding design. which for me is significant, in that i plan to never marry, but i have found someone who is a life partner, and to me it signifies my desire to be with him, and that no matter where i go in life, my feet will always bring me back home. :)

if i get the tattoo next summer, i will be barefoot all the time, so healing shouldn't be a problem. :) my tats usually heal pretty quick too.

    they are gorgeous.

One of my friends does Henna tattoes. She always has something or another decorating her (esp since this is her job too) I've seen her many times with foot tattooes and they generally look really good.

Henna is so beautiful. And having it on your feet is so gorgeous.

yeah, and if i'm gonna sit for hours and hours to get it done, it's damn well not coming off, lol! i'll get it done in the henna color though, so it looks like henna but just never comes off! :D

i'm gonna see if i can come up with the designs myself. maybe blow these pictures up, and trace out the elements i like and see if i can make up my own design. i've got no money for tats right now, so i have plenty of time to play around with the stuff! :)

I've thought about doing something like that too.

If not....I think those foot thongs are rather gorgeous too.

    I'm a bit slow...
Are you getting it temporary or permanent?
