Even if ya don't add salt to your meal, you will find sodium listed on most things ya buy. Just from opening the cupboard and checking a few labels I found that 7 yogurt covered pretzels have 210mg of sodium, rice-a-roni has 1040mg in about 1/3 cup....wow thats alot, you can find about 400-700mg in spaghetti sauce, even my coca-cola C2 has 30mg of sodium....why in the hell do they add sodium into soda? We went shopping yesterday and tried to find peanut butter without salt....yeah next joke, not in that store anyways. Why is it that some food they sell as low-fat or low-carb (my cousin is diabetic) as more sodium then the regular stuff? She isn't a vegetarian so don't suggest that she just eat salad, fruit, or plain rice either.

Salt is something your body needs to function, just not excessive amounts and it is naturally found in most foods but producers usually add in some more. If you have ever been really sweaty and had some drip down your face and in your mouth you can taste the salt. If you do some hard excerises for extended periods of time in the heat make sure you get some salt, just not to much.
