Been monogamous for 9 years

My parents would share it with me actually, we are a very open family. I know just how much they earn, how much the bills are, all of the medical issues, and my mom has no issue telling me to fuck off for a night when she wants alone time with my dad.

Thats what good families and marriages are about, honesty.

While I am sure you are probably right about your parents, I doubt that if your father had an affair 30 years ago that your mother was still unaware of, that he would tell you. Again, chances are that nothing like this happened involving your parents, but my point is that you can never be absolutely positive.

It depends if these thoughts are a repeating pattern. Then I think they should be discussed. Basically, all strong feelings should be discussed.
