My boyfriend got a virus from a song he downloaded, and now when he starts his computer up, when it gets to the startup screen, it freezes. But before it freezes, a screen pops up and says somthing about Run As. The only way he can do anything to his computer is but running it in safe mode. He thinks the problem could be bacuse of his Norton anti virus (ironic huh?) Like maybe the virus corrupted it or somthing. Norton found the virus, but could not fix it. Anyone have any advice???
are you 100% sure it is a virus?? usually running a computer in safe mode is ok, the only draw back to that is that you cant really do anything, what i think you should do is format the hard drive and install everything again, the machine is probably due for a format anyway, its good to format regularely, oh and one more thing, does his computer have any partitions?
