Dammit Balbus, your rule sucks. Sometimes people post things that we wouldn't be able to find otherwise, but you close the threads becaue of your stupid no pasting rule. Why, you closed two perfectly good thread this morning, just becaue they broke your pointless rule. I don't understand that rule at all, I don't think anyone but you does. It seems to me that it is just a power trip thing. Please, for the sake of the forum, get rid of that retarded rule and stop closing threads.
I'd like to know how he gained moderator status, being here for such a short time and rarely posting. Must be one of Skip's buddies.
Just make sure when you post an article you add your own comment or opinion to the mix. Pretty simple.
I would like to know. Is there is a single poster here other than Balbus who thinks that rule is a good idea?
~*lmao*~ I'm just trying to figure out why this forum has to have a different rule than the rest abide by. How the hell would anyone know that...because of a small notice at the top of the page? This forum has always had informative and interesting arcticles posted, if nothing else it seems a great way to start a discussion.....
I dont think we need to go that far (even if we could). He's an okay guy, and if you read the threads he's started you can see he's good at starting a discussion. I just dont like this one rule...
If you think an article is interesting enough to post, then you should have some sort of opinion on it. Balbus's rule just says that you should say something about the article you post. What is so hard about that?
If you ask me abiding by the rule takes less energy than bitching about it. If your thread got closed, turn your brain on, post it again, and share your opinion. It's really not that hard -- come on people.
I've never been one to follow rules just because they're there. Some rules just aren't worthy of following. In cases such as this, as a patriotic American it is my duty to refuse to follow the rule and bitch and moan until it is changed.
I like to see links posted that are related to politics and that present an issue worthy of discussion. Often just the link itself is enough to get a great discussion going here. It's the useless posting of the same old links that name-call or contribute nothing intellectually that should be deleted.
Go here if you want to bitch about this to the real moderators. http://www.hipforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39301 The no-info rule must go!
And who the hell is the judge of what is "worthy"? If a thread is useless it will be ignored Simple as that. We don't need some smarter-than-thou jackass telling us what we can and can't read.
Sometimes posters get like bots and continually post the same rhetoric that clutters up the board. In general, I don't mind just seeing only a link posted. It becomes clutter when its the same old rhetoric posted multiple times per day, day after day. Cross-posting is the other problem.
