i haven't done any drugs before and last night i dropped acid. i took a walk and i felt that everything around me was growing or i was getting smaller (when i looked at houses and everything, it was not that way though) and i felt pretty weird. i didnt hallucinate at all. i felt that everything was connected. but other than that, nothing really happened. before i took the acid, i split my tab in half, because i was scared about bad trips and all that. i took the first tab, i felt pretty weird, nothing bad happened, and i took the second half a half hour later. did that ruin the entire thing? or was that really all i should expect from the infamous psychadelic experience? was i even high? something did happen, but it was as awesome as i expected acid to be. were my expectations too high? was it weak acid? was it just the way i react to acid? some people have bad trips, some people have good trips, could i just have had a mediocre one?
you only took one tab, that's your problem right there. next time you trip, take at least two tabs and make sure they're decent quality. with the right dosage, i guarantee you won't be disappointed with acid.
first time i did it, I took 1. I tripped, but it wasn't that crazy. Last night I took three and man. Everything around me was twisting and warping and tinting different colors. it's worth the extra money to buy a couple more.
for a first time, no more than 2 should be taken, in order to understand its effects. but yes, at low doses, it is much more mental then visual
People forget that with so many things in life, quantity matters. Dosage matters. You bought a one hit ride, and took it. It sounds like a good one hit ride. If you were looking for a different ride, you should have done your research.
and that was your first drug ever?! Like you've never smoked weed or anything? damn. you're a tough drug critique haha.
I think a lot of people expect too much from acid, without really understanding what the drug is all about. As it was said in another thread, the whole lsd movement of the 60's did not come about from taking one hit of acid, they where taking much larger doses, and today with the doses bought on the street being very unreliable in quality you should probably expect to take even 5 -10 tabs to experience the true psychedelic trip. Unless of course you get really lucky and find a good reliable dealer first time around. Try some more and then tell us what you think. Also try mushrooms too a lot of people prefer them to acid.
you dont really hallucinate, more like your senses get distorted and get mixed with your imagination. like the walls will start breathing, then patterns will start swirling in and out, things will wave and dance, you will get bigger or smaller, sounds were distort and change, feelings will be really intense, thought will be really deep, this is how an acid trip is like. you need more next time, and a good open mind set. acid defiantly isn't just one of those things that is all hype and no show, in fact quite the opposite applies, a true acid experience is beyond words, your world will be turned completely upside down, and for a good 12 hours too.
If your looking to discover interesting things about the nature of things around you, like hallucinating visually, than try about 3 grams of dried shrooms. You sound like you are looking for a visual trip, acid is more of a mind trip.
You took one hit of super weak acid. It's like you've watched The Godfather on a wristwatch (reflected off a TV with the sound turned off) and now you're complaining about how much it sucks. Next time buy 3-4 hits and do them one at a time, spacing each an hour apart.
Increasing the dose will probably stimulate the visuals, but not necessarily. Some trips are just not very vision-oriented. I find it hilarious and interesting that when I do take a high dose and get incredibly intricate vivid, interactive visuals, they seem totally natural. I'm out of this world with visions, but they just seem like they've always been there and they're nothing out of the ordinary.
I so wish is was easy to know how much LSD was in a tab. It varies sooooo much. You always risk having a low dose when you first try a new batch because you can't safely start with a bunch of hits. I'd always try 1 or 2 to start and see how it goes with new unknown doses. Then just wait until the next to to re-dose higher if it doesn't work out. Usually you can tell from that first test how much to take the next time....and taking more partway through is always a little strange. Doses were always better years ago. They may have varied as much, but I can't remember a time when one dose didn't feel like enough.....or too much. (Maybe I just need a better connection.)
