Cooking with weed

This guy told me to saute a shit load of stems in butter and I can do the whole "special brownie" thing. I was wondering if that works, or if it has to be bud and not stem... I have like a quarter worth of chronic stems and I don't want to waste them.

 

stems work, but you need quite a few of decent quality.

the other alternative is to keep saving and eventually make butane honey oil

 

I can only get up to a quarter of stems and I want it to be for the holidays.

 

quarter of stems might make a semi-decent batch.. its not gonna hurt if it fails since stems are technically waste anyways

 

Up until about a month or two ago, I would save my stems and make teh cannabutter.
Usually about ten grams of ground up stems in a pot with enough butter to cover it.... I would usually come out with about five pieces of toast worth of super potent butter.... which would get a friend and I pretty baked.

I like to use my stems to make Green Dragon. I prefer to use straight weed to make my pot butter but when I do that I also use the stems as well. You might be able to make about one stick of butter with your stems, but that would be enough for one batch of brownies. Most store bought mixes take three ounces of butter and a stick is 4 ounces so with some loss during your saute and you should be good. I however don't recomend the saute. I like to use a double boiler. You can cook the butter at a temprature that does not cause it to scorch. I also put salt it the water to increase the temprature of the boiling water. Make sure to grind the stems up well. If you need any more help with your project just let me know.

 

you can have all my stems, i hate those buggars. I'm too lazy to cook food let alone weed, pack a bong, smoke and repeat. Or make some firecrackers

What is the best way to cook vaporized weed? I have about 6 grams of vaped weed that still has a decent amount of THC in it, and I am unsure of the best way to cook it.

Hmmm, I would always save my stems too.


I would sometimes put them in a pull bottle and shake them up for a while. That way you can get a decent amount of kief, when you are low on tree.


Other times I grind them up in my coffee grinder and can get a bunch of kief that way, then I would take the ground up stems and put them in some olive oil, which I can then use for cooking. The oil isnt that potent, though...
