Mushroom Tincture?

hey man new to these forums, this could have been asked already but i can't find it. Is it possible to make a tincture with magic mushrooms, similar to those made with like cannabis/salvia and strong alcohol. if so would it use the same process or can any1 post a link? obviously for research purposes only

never heard of a mushroom tincture. But I would imagine it would be possible. Try erowid.

I think it's possible. Some friends and I made mushroom tequila when we were in high school ....crazy kids.

 

you can make mushroom tea, it's probably a better choice.

 

you need 190 proof moonshine and a vacuum filtration rig. if you are gunning for crystal you could use acetone. gets you pretty jacked up, much more potent than a tea and has a long shelf life.

 

you can use everclear and a couple of glass jars. soak the shroom powder in everclear for a day or so, pour out the everclear into a new jar, soak again, pour off the alcohol. take all of your "blue" everclear and evaporate it in a big glass dish. you should be left with an oily residue that you can scrape up.

 

yuck man, oily residue? you need to try a few more times.

it only produces blue alcohol if you are using freshies, good ol blue juice.

 

assuming you leave some water in it, it will be kind of tacky or sticky.
if you let all the water evaporate it becomes like a tar. the consistency doesn't matter.

 

cool so basically leave to soak in 80%+ alcoholfor a few days filter it out and leave to evaporate for a few more days and whats left is my tincture?
any ideas on the potency of it? say if one is used to 50liberty cap dose, hw much of this will you need?

Man, psilocybin is water soluble more so than it is in alcohol. To get nice crystals with no oily residue all you have to do is grind the mushrooms to dust put in a saucepan with water and heat on lowest possible heat. You pretty much want the water to just be warm to touch for an hour or more. Pour through a coffee filter and just let the water evaporate. Your will be left with almost pure psilocybin crystals.
