Anyone know any non-drug migraine remedies? All I can do to "treat" it is take a few T3's and hope for the best. My apologies if there was a topic on this...I haven't seen any recent ones.

I get them regardless if i drink coffee...i don't know about the chocolate. ill have to keep an eye on that. I wish i could try acupuncture, I don't have the money for that though. I was hoping that someone would come up with a cheap house hold remedy that didn't evolve prescription drugs. :p

Squeeze the fleshy party in between your thumb and pointer finger (the webbing part) for a couple minutes....It's a pressure point that relieves migranes. I get them frequently and this helps a good amount.

Marijuana is pretty much the best thing there is for headaches. It used to be the ideal treatment for it too.

From wikipedia page on migraine http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Migraine
"Cannabis was a standard treatment for migraines from 1874 to 1942.[77] It has been reported to help people through an attack by relieving the nausea and dulling the head pain, as well as possibly preventing the headache completely when used as soon as possible after the onset of pre-migraine symptoms, such as aura.[77]"

I find marijuana to still be the ideal standard treatment. The only reason they ever stopped using it for migraines is because of the drug war. It still is the most effective and safest treatment for migraines. Nothing hits you quicker and stronger, nothing has a longer lasting effect and it's the only treatment without any real side effects. I mean, you might get a little lazier at times if you smoke for migraines. But I bet alot of the problem in the first place is that you aren't letting your brain relax very much, letting your mind float and drift for a little bit each day might be exactly what you need in the first place.
