I am fluent in Bash, Bourne, ksh, and some csh. That's about all I'm confident in. I also know some of visual basic, C, C++.
I would say if you don't know HTML to learn that first. I took C++ in high school. I would suggest getting a book.
Best route is still basic > c > c++ > Java, with java being optional, personally I hate Java. Learning Qbasic will give you the fundamentals of programming. However, c can be hard to learn. Make sure you get a good book or take a course in it.
