Just been noticing that it's odd how there are more and more movies coming out lately that have to do with some of the stuff that I've seen described here about the "international elite" who are trying for the one world governement business and whatnot. I don't really know a lot about that stuff so bear with me.... Anyone seen Quantum of Solace yet? Bond taking on some international organisation that has somehow gotten itself right into the highest levels of government, has power to coerce governments into making deals with it. One of the big things in that movie is that the organisation is trying to gain control of water in Bolivia(I think...?). I was on the IMDb boards for the movie and there was a large discussion on the topic. People were saying it fit with the Illuminati/New World Order stuffs. The water privatization bit had to do with population control (which I recall Pressed Rat discussing here before). Also, the new movie with Clive Owen, The International about the power of an international bank who will use money in order to keep things benefitting them. Coups, weapon supply, that sort of thing... Any thoughts about this theme in Hollywood? Someone on the James Bond boards was saying that it's much too big a topic for someone like him to take on which I thought was kind of funny... Do you think that perhaps this is the work of filmmakers who believe the conspiracies and are trying to introduce them in a way that's easier to swallow at first, since it's supposed to be fiction? Any comments are cool. I'm really interested in what people on this board might have to say about this.
