Would this make for a bad first trip?

If you were to remain in one room all night and take acid for the first time while parents are in the same house sleeping, would there likely be trouble?

I wouldn't do that, no. You can't really be sure how your first trip is going to go; your best bet is to do it somewhere with some trusted friends and with no parents anywhere near you.

I would not, under any circumstances, trip acid by my self, in my house with my parents there. Ever.

Oh, you guys are making this sound worse than it really is. It would probably go as well as any solo first trip, anywhere. I personally wouldnt have done it my first time, but that's because I have a bunch of places to do acid, and I prefer outside. I have tripped at my parents house, but never alone while they were home. Its not that bad, I just stayed in my room, and tried to be as quite as possible. the worst part is going to the bathroom, which I usually do like 10 times a night when tripping. Id say go for it, if you feel comfortable with the setting.

 

ah, sorry i wouldn't be alone, i would be tripping with another first timer.

First time I ever tripped was at home,alone, in my room, while my parents slept. It was fine. Wouldn't recommend it though if you have a better option.

 

First time I tripped I was in Vegas with my parents and a friend. Tho I had experience with shrooms, pot, and dxm before-hand and am one of those people who can remain totally calm and rational in most situations..even tho I was tripping quite hard, I kept myself quite composed. I don't think it matters what environment you're in so much as your state of mind going into the experience. If you think there's gonna' be conflict, then there will be. If you stay cool and open to the experience, that's how it will be.

 

lolz.. when I was 13/maybe 15, I was tripping in my room across the hall from my parents..
I had my stereo down low, vinyl records were melting, the drapes on the windows were like ghosts.. Pink Floyds picture was on the wall. It was Dayglow.. listening to "wish you were here" My brother was in a bed sleeping 10feet aways from me..
I looked out the window and saw the dumptrucks from the sand pits starting their runs, The bright red truck peeked between the drapes on the window and pinwheeled.. The snarls of the rigs seemed to have communication between themselves.. I thought the trucks were talking..
A modern train came donw the tracks and made this odd sound as if it was from a cartoon "whooo hooo.. whoooo hooo.." That was really funny cause the train looked fucking funky as all bouncing down the tracks..

Went downstairs and played with a matchbox car on the table for a while.
Looked at the clock and it was a cat clock like this..


this clock is the best tripping buddy I ever had...

I looked out the door and saw a KOOLS billboard and I studied it for the longest time...

To be honest, for a first time I wouldn't do it by yourself/with another first timer. It's always best for your first few trips to have either a sobre person there or someone who is experienced. I find it generally best to not do drugs with parents anywhere near, a) because you'd be in for hell if they caught you and b) it's nice to have the freedom to go out and have an acid walk if you want to, because I find that heightens the experience.

Generally being surrounded by people you trust in a comfortable environment is good for a first time. You'll probably get bored of being in one room all night

Tripping your first time with a first timer is fun. Make sure your friend doesn't have any weird mental problems because if they come out on LSD you don't want to be the only person there that has to deal with it, especially if you are tripping.

Keep that in mind and find a new place to trip. Maybe just wait until your parents are not home and do it at home, but you really shouldn't do it with your parents home. Wouldn't be fun at all.

 

Is it possible? Yes. Do I recommend it? As enthusiastically as I can say it, NO.

Your first time you should be with someone sober OR someone on acid who is familiar with acid. The risk with 2 first timers is that you BOTH freak out, and this becomes 10000x worse on acid as you will both feed off each others emotions and be INTENSLY more attuned to each other's innermost workings. So if you are both in hell mentally, you will both drag each other much deeper. edit: ^THANK YOU for reminding me about mental illness. You would be surprised what your friends are going through in their personal lives, and I hope to god you don't have to deal with a complete emotional meltdown of epic proportions as shizophrenic behaviour takes over your best friend. I've been there. Fun fun fun in the sun!

Of course that only applies if you're the type of person who has a bad trip on acid. There are several people on this board, myself included, who have never had a single bad trip.

The other concern is the fact you are home. Again, it's possible, and I've done it.

It sucks homosexual gorilla balls. Really. It's awful. Try your best to GO OUT. You can always come back home when you're tired and/or coming down. But for the peak, you're gonna instantly say to yourself "Ah FUCK why did i do this shit in my house."

 

i was 16 my brother was 13 we took 2 hits and were going camping in the mountains but since we took it before we left we started feeeling it while our mom was driving us to a drop off point. just before she dropped us off she looked at us and asked if we were ok.

i said yeah.

my pupils were dilated already, jaw was clenching, the ride was already beginning...

you COULD do it at home, but this is your first time. you only get one first time. you wanna make it special. you can't ever get it back. I would either go out or wait until you can have the house to yourself. It'd be awesome to trip at home but NOT with your parents home.

I think it would be much too paranoid, having to be quiet, worrying about your parents.. you'd be jumping at every noise, worried. You don't want that. You want to be 100% clear headed and have absolutely no thoughts of your parents in your head. Trust me.

If I were you I would wait for a more special time.

 

i dont think youd have agood time... you'd be tripping out most of the time maybe.... and then your parents will find out.. unless there cool with u doin it then dude u should do it...bring a friend tho so u guys can adventure... = )

 

First trip you probly would want to be with a friend. Make sure its a good friend that you know very well. Your relationship will probly change forever and definitely for the better. Make sure that your friend came upon the conclusion to do LSD himself, pressuring someone who is not ready to take the plunge wont do either of you anygood. have a nice trip:grouphug:
