Very true, my baby seems to really love music, any kind, he loves when I play guitar, and i let him pull the strings (a little) and bang on the side of it while I play!

 

Sounds awesome, there isn't anything like that around here. There was, but like I said, the guy who hosted it moved away. There was supposed to be some other guy to take his place, but he never showed up! Nobody that was going to the drum circles cared enough to continue on and it kind of just stopped happening. Usually it's just my family and one or two friends that will get together now, but it's still good fun. Sometimes you just need a large group though.

The garden I have this year is alright. It was started by the people we are renting the house from, then they left and I ended up with it. They didn't do a good job on plant placement, and it is akward to work in the garden. I started a large compost bin and will be building the garden area soon. The garden thats there is giving me some harvest, but not enough to survive on. I feel that they started the garden just to say they have one. I still have to buy a lot of my vegetables from the store. Which sucks. It's kinda funny how much more it costs to eat fresh fruits and vegetable as compared to eating the processed prepackaged crap. Everyone wonders why americans are generally overweight, yet the affordable foods are shit and the healthy stuff is overpriced.

 

The music, of any kind, will aid in his developement and learning skills also.

Can you get horse manure?
Put it in big barrels with rain water from your roof.
Then take a ton of old garden hose and put holes in it. Then run it under your new beds and make a drip iragation system next spring.
It will also make the roots go deeper and re build the soil from whatever the former folks did too. How about Chickens?
Goats are great too and the milk is great for kids growing up.
Right on about food costs. Ever notice when the ecomny hit the skids Mc Donalds came out with that $1.00 menu.

I'm sure I can get horse manuer. I know for a fact that I can get a bunch of bullshit from the people in that area . The garden hose I have already has a shitload of holes in it, I just gotta pull the duct tape off it. I am going to get some horseshit soon, start prepping the ground. I need to get a couple truckloads of dirt too. There was a sistern(sp) that caved in a while back that they've been throwing shit in. I need to fill it up. I should put a liner in it, and fill it up with water. Just kidding.

Had it been my home, you would have been served a lovely pilaf of quinoa, brown rice, bulgar and lentils, steamed baby carrots with a sprinkling of ghee and Sicilian sea salt, portabello mushroom caps grilled on an open fire.

And veal fried until just rare served bloody in fresh lard sauce.

 

yeah. i want a couple goats. i love those little bastards. fucking pain in the ass animals. BUT GOD, are they great as yard pets/lawn mowers, but only if they're bottle fed.
