I'm pretty young and am starting to take the birth control pill, not because i'm sexually active (im a virgin) but because i need it to regulate my hormones. does the pill still prevent pregnancy, even if im not taking it for that purpose?
yes, it will still reduce your chances of pregnancy. 99% if taken correctly (same time every day, dont skip a day, dont throw up right after taking it, not taking antibiotics, etc)
Doesn't matter the reason for the prescription, the pill works the same either way, and that is to reduce your chances of pregnancy to 1 in 1000. Regulating your period is really just a side effect of the pill.
Yes, it does both in regulating your menstrual cycle and preventing pregnancy, even if you are not sexually active. It really is an amazing little contraption.
just stay a virgin.. and you will not have to worry about it... use a condom anyways even if your on the pill..
lol well it's not a mental thing dear, so of course it does! will ibuprofen still work for a headache if you originally took it an hour ago for back pain? as long as you take it at the same time everyday, yes you are still protected even if you're taking it for hormone regulation.
Don't hate. She has a very valid question for someone of her age. Stay a virgin, use a condom even with the pill, be safe.
You will not get pregnant with saliva and swallowing semen will not get you pregnant either. Have fun and play safely!
lol. it was kind of a silly question, now that i look at it. i'm staying a virgin for now because i dont have a boyfriend or anything so i was just curious.
