Was just wondering what a bunch of psychedelic people say about my HALF WAY FINISHED psychedelic tattoo? http://img396.imageshack.us/my.php?image=dsc00266bm2.jpg
wow that being only half way finished i cant wait to see it all done. im still plannin my first real tat and ive been sketchin it for quite some time now. how did u come about a design like that?
The design is just a go with the flow I guess. The tattoo started off with a quake 3 logo if you look carefully in the middle. A awesome modified quake 3 logo that looks super awesome. So eventually I got tired of the logo. Decided to expand. A friend of mine, BEST ARTIST in the world in my opinion did the design around the logo. Unfortunately that friend got diagnosed with brain cancer and is busy passing away very fast now. Giving the tattoo some sentimental value to me. And the rest of the tattoo is just some acidhead going with the flow. The project been going for about a year now. The plan is to give the whole tattoo the effect its got in the middle. That yellow, orange and reddish effect. After that I am adding the mouth billy talent 2 have on their cd cover to the bottom of my tattoo. Somehow fading in off course. And then finish of with a nice skin tear around the whole tattoo. Imagical, I was about to type the same thing. Once initiated to tattoo art and vocabulary, this is definetly bio-mech. But...bio-mech is very pyschedelic. They're all realted. Alex gray is considered bio-mechanical in that he draws a mix of living subjects and machinry, but he is heavily embraced by and influenced by the psychedelic community. Anyway, its all good and the tat looks good.
the movement Visionary Primitive sums it all up http://www.prickmag.net/visionaryprimitivefeature.html
