I know I'm not psycho since I'm not the only one that saw an image of a shadow on my bedroom wall. And after all the articles I've read, I'm not the only one that sees these shadows.

For the past couple of nights my boyfriend and I when we are lying in bed, doesn't seem to matter what time (evening to middle of the night, and early morning until the sun comes up), looking at the wall in front of us see the silhouette of a person on my wall, but moving about only in one spot, we also see what appears to be a fan blade turning slowly when the person isn't there (Like it morphed or something). On the wall opposite is a window w/no curtain that moonlight and a streetlight on the next street over shine through.

Everything I've read seems to say you catch them in the corner of your eye, and I'm looking at it straight on and so is he. It also states that once they are spotted the immediately dissappear, not this one. It just keeps moving back and forth in the light from the window. We've checked outside and seen nothing, nor any plausible possibilities. I saw it about a month or two ago when he wasn't there but thought it was someone outside my window, and I crawled under the covers and went to sleep like it wasn't there. I'm pregnant and neither of us are currently drinking or using drugs, so that theory's out. It doesn't seem mean or anything, seems like it wants to be noticed. I wouldn't mind attempting to communicate, but haven't figured out how (knowing my luck I'd end up w/something out of the Necronomicon LoL). I would like to photograph it, but haven't had any success w/that either.

If anyone could help me out, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanx

I lived in a house from birth until I was 10 that had one in it that behaved just like yours. It never actually entered the room only did a sneaky kind of peak a boo thing just at the threshold of the door to my room. Watched it for years, every night it did the same tip toed walk down the hallway and stopped at the door. We looked right at each other. It was just shaped like the silhouette of a thin 5 foot tall bald man. Head, neck, shoulders, arms and legs were clearly visible. No facial features at all just shadow.

I don't know an awful lot about them, only what I observed from just one. I'm just guessing here, so take this with a grain of salt but I believe they enjoy being noticed and I think they feed off giving people the creeps. I also think they can't enter the room(though I have no idea why). The one I experienced for many years never once came past the doorway. I eventually stopped worrying about it and began to sleep normally, though it never went away until I moved from that house. Never had this problem in any other house since. If I didn't have so many years of seeing it I think I would doubt/question my memory of it at my current age.

One thing I want to mention is that I recall that my mom was friends with an older lady down the street. I remember sitting in on conversation where she explained to my mother why there was a star with a circle carved into the front door(can't remember if it was a pentagram or pinnacle and we were too poor back then to replace it) she said that her niece used to rent the house along with a few college girls that either practiced Satanism or Wicca, I can't remember anymore. Anyway she said the girls claimed to conjure spirits for fun and bragged about it often. I have no idea how or if they were just full of shit, but I have always accepted that explanation for the activity. My point is you may want to find out what you can about the history of the house.

Well, I told my mom about it and she didn't believe me, so right before she went to bed, I took her in my room, sat her on my bed, and showed her. Needless to say she freaked out. I think a while ago she told me about something changing the TV channels when she was home alone, but I never saw that, and nothing else of the sort has happened. The last few months, the TV in my bedroom has been turning on by itself, even right in front of my boyfriend and I. Lately though, it has stopped.

As far as the history of the house, I doubt the landlord would have anything to say or know anything about it, he's a douche.

I'm pretty much out of advice then, although you could try some dim lighting in the hallway to see if that will deter it since they seem to hang in the shadows. You could also invest in a clapper, in case you need to turn all the lights in your room on in a hurry lol.

I don't want to scare you or anything; but, with you being pregnant please be careful of this. As mothman said, if you can - look into the history of your house. Place a bay leaf (the kind you get at the grocery store for Italian food, but make sure it is whole) and put one leaf in every corner of every room, especially your bedroom, hall corners, etc. I really wouldn't suggest trying to communicate b/c there is No hard and fast rule that this entity would have to tell you the truth. Also, say the Lord's Prayer as you place the bay leaves - a very important step...You could also tell this thing that you mean it no harm but wish it would leave.
Again, with you being pregnant, I'm thinking it would be better if this weren't there.. Just a thought.:)

bugger...I had a good chunk of text explaining my experience with "shadow people", but then my connection failed randomly.

When I was little I used to sleep in my parents' bed, because I was too afraid to stay alone. I remember seeing "shadow people" on many different occasions. I never felt threatened by them or anything, I just sorta acknowledged their existence and nodded off to sleep. I remember they would always appear on the wall to the right of the bed near where the treadmill used to be. I think the most I ever saw at one time were two or three. They seemed to be working on something...I remember it looked like they were always stacking boxes or constantly bending to lift seemingly heavy loads.

I'm glad that other people have experiences with these "shadow people" too. Sorta validates my story in a way. Good luck with your shadow guests!

Oh! I forgot to mention that my parents slept (and continue to sleep) on the second floor of this house. The windows were always covered at night, and very limited light was around to cast shadows from anything else. Plus these were moving shadows, so it couldn't have been something in the room already.

In my post earlier I did not state that I, too, had strange experiences w/ shadow people in my early years - before age 11, at least. I remembered it enough to know that I was really, really scared, but somehow would "know"/feel to act like they weren't there - but afraid all the time.

Anyway, your excellent, accurate description of the doing heavy work triggered yet another memory - once it seemed one was even stacking (shadow) boxes on Me. gad... The house I grew up in, and now live in again (Igot away for a while) was/is sorta haunted....Going through that kind of thing, Plus living in a truly religious home, made me begin early on (by age 13 at least) studying things, making all kinds of books my friends, if that makes sense.....
But your description of their heavy work really got to me...thanks.

Kind of sad, but I think it's gone. I haven't seen it since my initial post, after the post I found my camera to see if it was working. Needed batteries and when I put them in and took a few pics, the shadow was gone that night and hasn't been back. :( I'm guessing the camera's flash scared it off. Oh well.

I regularly listen to the paranormal radio talk show coast to coast am and listeners regularly call-in with sightings of shadow people

I’ve never seen one myself but from their description I hope I never encounter the phenomena [IMG]

They really aren't that bad. Freaked me out at first, but it was just chillin' on my wall.

Hey - you get my vote for bravest.

It seems that I have been the only one here abouts that was scared - at least as a child I was. But...Mine did lots more than just chill on the wall, and what I remember sure enough came In the room - as opposed to staying in the hall or at the door. Anyway, I'm going to Shut Up b/c I don't want to bother/call up any.

Dealing with these kind of "things" started me being the person I have become (lol)...and I'm personally not scared of Anything now. :cheers2:

I dont know if these assholes are good or bad, but they do like to fuck with you.

There was/is one in my appartment that comes out, gives me+ brother night terror, has burned me by turning on elements, and has given us both intense trips on low doses of say pot.

Intentions are unclear but I do not like that thing.

oh and Mama K.. my bro said he saw a white glowing ghost fly into him

mine was a shadow that sucked darkness into itself, and did not seem friendly.
