I've always used basic KY Jelly. I recently purchased a tube of Durex Play, after seeing it advertised on TV, although I was rather disappointed. The advert gave the impression that as well as acting as a lube it gave additional tingling sensations to the penis. So far I have only used the Durex Play for use with my FleshLight for 2 reasons: (1) It has a handy pump action applicator (2) Being a water based lube, when it starts to dry up & I re-moisten it with spit, it has a more palateable taste to that of KY. Generally, though, I don't think there's that much difference between the brands for providing the lubricant function for which they were intended.
Platinum something... I forget, but it lasts forever and isn't sticky. Silicone based is the way to go.
My gay manager swears by it, and I'm inclined to take his advice. But in my own experience, I've found that gravy or ranch dressing works best.
