It all depends on the girl and the situation. Men only assume they have great game, but women often spot it from a mile away. Your best bet is to be different than the rest of the boys if you want to get noticed. Teasing and insulting are cute, but you will have to step up your game if you want to get noticed. Intelligence, sincerity, compassion, a sense of humor and confidence will get you futher than witty remarks. You might try just hanging out and observing for a while. Sometimes the most appealing person in the room is the one that doesn't beg to be noticed. Girls are used to getting hit on, so if you just launch into your game, they will toy with you. Why? Because they can! Chances are there are more men in line waiting to talk to a woman, and she knows that too. If you notice a girl across the room, try to catch her eye and smile. Leave it at that for a while, and she will look back at you and you smile again. Try for a little sexy, and not a big goofy smile. The third time she looks hold up your drink and point to it and mouth "can I buy you a drink" or point to the dance floor and have a "would you like to" look on your face...and that will be your cue if she is interested or not. If she isn't just shrug your shoulders and move on. This tactic allows the woman to feel like she is pursuing you, and not being stalked by another pick up artist. Any man can walk up and talk to a girl, but not all of you can pick up a woman from across the room.

i tend to get girls who are from another planet, of course, i too, have been told, i'm from another planet too! the worst way to flirt and/or pick up girls is what i saw back in 1978. it was my one and only time i went to a disco. i was sitting by a girl and this guy came over to her, after she accepted his drink. he said this loud enough to her that i heard it too: 'i bet your asshole smells like a rose and your shit do taste like strawberries!' i choked on my beer and i thought she was going to bitch slap him silly! whatever you do, never, ever, be as stupid as that caveman was at flirting and pick up lines!

Yup but you have to have an icebreaker and get to the conversation part of things before any of the above can be seen. A stranger has no way of knowing that you posses any of the above. Best advice is to just be yourself, have fun, and don't be creepy, and don't be afraid to say hello to a stranger. I see what most guys do out there especially in a bar. They stare, and do creepy things that scare girls away. Just be friendly, and outgoing, but don't be afraid to make bold moves if necessary. And women, ya all just because you are out with your girls don't need to be rude and snobby. Just have a little common courtesy. Just because you don't like a guy does not mean you cant say hello
