But if the cops do catch you most likely they will just take you home. They make try and give you some bullshit curfew charge or something cause cops like to do that kinda stuff. I think you have to be missing for 24 hours before you are considered a missing person so you would be good if you just stayed out all night and made up some story the next day. I used to not go home for days.
I am not sure how it is in your state, but in N.H. they could have you picked up. And if it was a regular thing you would be deemed a delinquent and face possible lockup. Dude your 17 grow up, I don't even know you, but the fact that you want to run away so you can stay at someone place tells alot about the type of person you are. I bet if you were mature your parents would not have a problem with you going on overnight playdates. Peace
You'd be a runaway. Some kid ran away when I was in 8th grade and when she was found she went to juvy for a while.
that story was terrible... that couple should face the death penalty, by electric chair, along with all the other child and animal abusers.
if you wanna hang out later than your parents will let you, do all the illegal things before they call the cops. the cops will come, pick you up and drive you to your house. your parents will ground you, then just repeat until your satisifed with seeing your friends. i dont think you can go to jail for hanging out late till curfew. you could tell the cops your parents said you could sleep over and that they just changed there mind
Well when I wanted to stay out later, I lied to my parents or I would tell them straight up that I was partying and not coming home till morning, but when i did that i would lie to them about who I was with and where i was at. Just leave your car at a parking lot or at a park or something so if the pigs find it your not there. When your ready to come home have your friends drop you off or walk.
I hate to contemplate the adult lives that some of you are going to live. Being dishonest isn't a virtue, not even in the 21st century. Have fun, play safely, and don’t play with fire!
If you take that course, you could be legally declared an "at risk youth" and depending on your state, you could be turned over to CPS to house you until you're 18. And you know that you have to have a stable job, be able to support yourself and have a good place to live to become emancipated. And hey, I kept things from my parents, or if needed, lied to protect their feelings and their opinion of me. And I am a good responsible adult, and I had or have a good relationship with the parents.
Exactly the reasons I did it. I am an honest person for the most part and I felt bad for lieing to my parents about my weed use only because I knew they would disapprove because they are very straight edge law abiding citizens and I didn't want to destroy their expectations of me.
