Have you ever watched an infomercial and you just can't stop watching it. It just sucks you in. or that painter guy with the afro who said stuff like "happy blue" I miss that guy, but really I watch infomercials, why to begin with I don't know, and then I just can't stop, it's like subliminal messaging but subliminal hypnotising, better watch out governments next move to control us all.
A couple years ago I had a couple of roommates and we'd stay up all night smoking, talking, watching infomercials and fuzzy tv screens. We didn't have cable or sattelite so we'd just watch regular tv and then the infomercials would come on all night and they did seem hypnotizing because we couldn't stop watching. You know how they're so repettetive and some are even rediculous like they belong on Saturday Night Live, anyway they pull you in or either we were just really high.
See that's exactly what I mean, just pointless crap being repeated over and over and the reinforcement by the "real interested customers" just makes it worse, Infomercials are the bases of compulsive buying, and the downfall of a relatively good night of boredom
my brothers were obssessed with infomercials, like the ones that sell gym equipment that guarantees you "a perfect body in 10 days!"... i used to watch one with two guys selling a set of knives, it was actually one knife but it came with others that were for all purposes...they gave you like 10 knives for the price of one, LOL! i get what you said. they're kind of addictive, i guess it's the background music, have you ever paid enough attention?
I get sucked into RonCo infomercials...the ones where they sell the kitchen stuff!!! Especially the one with the rotissere...that one is crazy.
i used to watch that painter guy too! he always talked in a monotone voice and painted. me and some friends would just smoke weed and watch this guy for hours. it was hilarious!
i used to watch one with two guys selling a set of knives, it was actually one knife but it came with others that were for all purposes...they gave you like 10 knives for the price of one i saw that one!!!! did he start out with like two knives and just keep adding and adding??!
