I love horror movies. The more blood, gore, and bodily harm, the better. Whoohoo! Slasher slasher slasher! BUT Why the fuck are the women in horror movies so stupid? What is that? "Hmm... I think a psycho-maniac-axe murderer-guy is after me, what should I do? I know, I'll run UP THE STAIRS (passed the front door), lock myself in my bedroom, change into a really tight skirt I can't move in, high heels I can't run in, and bawl like a child until some handsome man with a penis the size of my leg comes in and rescues me!" WTF? Does this piss off anyone else??
Are ya talking 'bout how they are always screaming in fear? That pisses me off. Women aren't as afraid as certain males HOPE they are! I'm only 130 lbs, and 5 foot 4. I'm more afraid of my 5 foot two wife, than I am Governor Arnold in a fight.
I don't think it's just the women folk. Men in horror movies do really stupid shit too. Everybody is just too easy to kill.
bloody hell i agree. women in movies generally let the side down. it pains me to say it, but i feel it's true. well, each to their own. christina ricci is usually great, she does well for the chicks. well i didn't know Milla Jovovich smoked... weird, she just doesn't seem the type...
it's rare that males come out as the survivor in slashers, women have always been the victor. if anything, i have a beef with women in action films. they're always the ones using their sexuality and acting like hoes to kick ass.
Some women have done ok in horrors, but for the most part they're incredibly stupid. So frigging helpless... I love sitting there watching these movies, i'm like "kick him in the nutsack! kick him in the nutsack!" lol but of course, she doesn't... *sigh* As for women in action movies, that's a different story altogether. Truth be told, I don't watch a lot of action movies.
again, i see more men get killed in slasher movies than chicks, girls usually are the ones that survive...
yeah if the women are down to their skivies it's usually because the killer usually tries to attack their victims when most vulnerable. if you notice in friday the 13th and holloween both mike and jason usually kill their victims during or after a sexual act. another thing about mike and jase is that sex also was one of the causes to why their on a blood thirsty rampage. if a serial killer came barging into my room while i was getting it on i surely wouldn't know what to do. aside from sex, i would feel akward doing anything else with a stiffy. anyway enough about my erections... i think slashers, though to most of you don't see it, say a lot about sex and our sexuality aside from TNA. two slashers you guys should watch is the original sleepaway camp and slumber party massacre. sleepaway camp i felt had a few things to say about homosexuality and slumber party massacre was actually written and directed by feminist and is loaded with feminist themes (the killer's weapon was a drill for chrissake). anyway dont bash the slashers, there's more to them then you think.
I think the whole WOMAN GETTING RAPED parts are stupid....it's always woman, always portraying them as weak individuals, as if there were no men whom this could happen to.
Well take into consideration the writer (s) of the these flicks may in fact be using the film to express something about society, women, or whatever in their own personal perspective, warped or not. Also think about some of the stuff that goes into horror movies, like people being strung up by their muscles on a meathook.... that's a bit off in of itself, so it's safe to say that the average horror movie writer wouldn't be too opposed to putting in some fucked up view about women.... or men or whatever. I love horror movies though, slasher ones are good once in a while, but I never see a good portrayal of a Serial Killer, you're working with so much potential, but instead the average movie is about some rich, jiggly high school chick who looks like (because she is) she's 25. I prefer zombie or supernatural force, or unexplained excess of gore flicks myself, They're just so god damn funny. Andy Worhol and Peter Jackson have some of the best gore flicks out there in my humble little opinion. Oh wait.... I guess I'm not talking about the women's role in horror flicks eh?
