OK i have 1 seed, and i figured why not try it out, sometimes we'll find seeds in our weed, will they still germinate and grow after being dried and discovered in our bud? and if so.. i only want a single little plant, i don't smoke often but i'd love to have one... the whole nitrogen-prosperous chemical mumbo jumbo... is there a chance that someone with absolutely no understanding of that kind of stuff can still grow one little plant any info would be good such as type of soil, pot and whatnot, and do i even NEED a light for just 1 plant, if i do, would something like http://www.buyplantlights.com/intelligent_plant_light.php that well similar to that, suffice? i truly know nothig but would someday like to have a plant to love so any help helps
Many moons ago my first grow was with just using baby bio even when blooming so just a general house plant food will do if your using new soil then you wont need to feed for a month anyway but its easy high nitrogen low others for growing and low nitrogen but high Phospherous and potassium for blooming. Lights looks a bit small both in size and watts. I would of said the smallest ya ever gonna get a seed plant and a reasonable yield is 2 foot. If your coming up to or just started or are mid summer and you get reasonably bright and duration of light 12 hours plus and warm temperatures then yep natural light will do but never hurts to have an extra light even if just to top up the light for them grey or rainy day. Check out the spouting post for tips on getting started.
i once got a lone seeed from a friend of mine. with about 3 months of nourishment and learning, it became what is now my sig pic. unfortunately it died shortly after from over-watering...doh beginner advice: buy: - 2 "daylight" or coolwhite 23w CFL bulbs (energy saving curly ones) - 10$ timer - shultz liquid plant food (10-15-10) to use: soak seed in roomtemp water for 3-5 hours, then plant about 1/3 inch deep in soil wait for it to sprout set up the 2 bulbs (totalling about 40-46w [200w equiv]) on 18-hour timer cycle feed after 2 weeks of sprouting, and in small amounts (less then advised on bottle) this is very basic, and during the course of vegetative growth, you will be able to google around and slowly learn additional info. tips: - have drainage holes in container (that was my cause of failure) - let soil dry between waterings - if adding more plants, you want 1-2 23w CFL bulbs per plant - DO NOT USE INCANDESCENT (regular) LIGHT BULBS. THEY ARE USELESS
Aww what a cute looking plant dude did you manage to sex it before it died?. Not advisable but a friend of mine always over waters his plants till they damp off (the bottom 10-20mm swells up hence stunting) to get small plants. Another tip with seeds is resting all seeds after coming straight off the plant will need to be rested for 3 month or they eighth wont germinate or grow weak looking plants.
yeah, it was female. It had shown sex for about 1.5 months before i actually FORCED flowering (stuck in dark bathroom at night). flowering went about 2 weeks before death
